João Kalil, POV Writer
In his first year writing for The Talon, João, a lifetime eagle, hopes to disturb and create controversies in the minds of Graded students through his POV articles. Baffled by his own belief that The Talon articles lack heated debates, he aspires to instigate self-reflections amongst his readers. João spends most of his time watching soccer (his passion), assaulting his refrigerator, and debating social, economic, political issues on Facebook in order to pretend and convince his friends that he is intellectual. In love with his country, he dreams of the day when Brazil becomes the world's leading economy and the Brazilian National Football team transitions into a powerhouse rather than a Carnaval.
