The Talon

Alejandro Garcias
This is Alejandro’s second year writing for The Talon. He started last semester – his first at Graded – in the News section and is now a POV writer. He chose POV because it gives him the opportunity to call attention to current events and issues that matter to him, which is why he loves journalism. This past summer, Ale participated in the Boston University Journalism Institute, an experience through which he was able to acquire more reporting knowledge and tools he’s excited to apply to his Talon articles. A highlight of the program was getting to visit The Boston Globe newsroom and to meet and learn from the Spotlight team of investigative reporters. Ale is also interested in history, creative writing, and film, with which he’s hoping to get more involved. He enjoys softball, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
