Queen Beyoncé still reigns

The annual MTV Video Music Awards took place in Los Angeles on Sunday night, August 24. It featured some incredible performances, such as Taylor Swift singing her newest hit, “Shake It Off”; and Nicki Minaj, who brought “Anaconda” to life―and had an unexpected wardrobe malfunction. Other performers were Maroon 5, Sam Smith, Usher and Iggy Azeala, who performed her newest single “Black Widow” alongside Rita Ora. To end the VMA ceremony with a bang, the queen herself, Beyoncé, came on with a spectacular sixteen-minute show, taking fans on an “emotional rollercoaster,” starting off with “Mine,” and concluding with “Yonce” and “XO.” Then, Jay Z and Blue Ivy came on stage to give her the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which completed a magnificent night.
