Debates, arguments, agreements, and conclusions were all heard yesterday, August 22, during the annual GMUN (Graded Model United Nations) conference. Delegates meticulously prepared their research and position papers with different possible solutions for the world’s problems. The Political Committee discussed the Ukraine (Crimean Conflict) and the international response to the Iraq Crisis, while the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) addressed Greece’s Debt Crisis and its future in the Eurozone. GMUN was a wonderful occasion where delegates examined different solutions that can be applied in real life and perhaps even a couple too idealistic for the current international scene. But, the purpose of MUN stands: allowing young delegates to generate innovative ideas that can shape our world’s future.
