The MS Art and Color class, led by Ms. Lucinha Ariani, has begun a new project that is already transforming an unexpected space on campus. The theme is Neurographic Art, and The Talon will be following the process as it unfolds.
Neurographic art is an intuitive drawing practice that connects the conscious and unconscious mind. Students begin with free, flowing lines inspired by neural connections. As the lines intersect and form shapes, they refine the lines and organize the composition, gradually turning spontaneous marks into intentional designs.
There are 16 students in the class, divided into four groups. The project began with individual drawings that served as both formative and summative assessments. After completing their personal pieces, each group combined elements from their final sketches to create one shared design. These collaborative compositions are now being transferred onto large panels.
The work is currently adding life to the safety panels surrounding the construction of the new lower school cafeteria. It can already be seen in the Middle School corridor near room E21. For now, the designs are still in black and white, which makes it possible to notice the structure and detail of each line. As the project continues, the panels will gradually change.
When you are passing by the corridor, take a moment to stop and look closely. This is just the beginning.
